The participation of #DigiAgriFood in the 30th Agrotica HELEXPO exhibition

Confirming the significant role it is called to play in the digital transformation of the agri-food sector in Greece, #DigiAgriFood made a dynamic appearance at the 30th Agrotica HELEXPO event. The largest sectoral exhibition in our country in the agro-economic field took place from Thursday, February 1st, until Sunday, February 4th, 2024, in Thessaloniki, and welcomed over 153,000 visitors.

#DigiAgriFood, the first European Digital Innovation Hub in the agri-food sector in Greece, was hosted at the stand of its lead partner, the Democritus University of Thrace, throughout the exhibition. There, representatives of the hub’s partners were at the center of developments and had the opportunity to engage with the public about the innovations and services promoted by the hub, which are expected to shape the future of the agri-food sector in Greece. The dialogue developed was a field of exchanging views and ideas towards the common direction of a better tomorrow for agri-food in our country.

Panel: “The first European Digital Innovation Hub in the agri-food sector in Greece. Presentation of available services and beneficiary cases” Within the exhibition, representatives of the Democritus University of Thrace and other #DigiAgriFood partners presented the hub’s services covering the regions of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Central Macedonia, Western Macedonia, Epirus, and Thessaly, aiming to create direct benefits for citizens, Small and Medium Enterprises, and the public sector.

In the context of the panel, speakers conveyed their enthusiasm for the amazing possibilities of digital transformation in the Agri-food Sector and openly invited the audience to benefit from the advanced services offered by #DigiAgriFood, which are provided for free to all interested parties.

Following the event, the partner team held a significant technical meeting. During this, management issues concerning the hub were examined, the specific concerns of the team were recorded, and strategic goals were set for the active monitoring of the project’s implementation. Finally, looking towards the future, the next steps were planned to guide the hub’s course towards achieving common goals.
