On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, an event titled “Empowering Young Entrepreneurs in the Agri-Food Sector through Digital Transformation” took place. The event was organized by Perrotis College of the American Farm School, partner of #DigiAgriFood.
The goal of the event was to provide information and share the results of Project IDEAS. Additionally, this event served as an opportunity for knowledge exchange, contributing to the promotion of entrepreneurship and digital transformation in the Agri-Food sector and fostering connections with outstanding young professionals in the field.
One of the speakers at the event was Giannis Amarantidis, Senior Project Manager of #DigiAgriFood. During his presentation, he elaborated on the mission of #DigiAgriFood, the first European Digital Innovation Hub in the Hellenic agri-food sector.
#DigiAgriFood specializes in technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Digital Skills, High-Performance Computing, Digital Transformation, and Interoperability, contributing directly to the goals and missions of the “Digital Europe 2021-2027” program. It focuses on the green and digital transformation of the entire Agri-Food value chain, offering immediate benefits to citizens, SMEs, and the public sector.
With a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation technologies, #DigiAgriFood also presented services that cater to small and medium-sized enterprises, professional farmers, and public organizations, promoting innovation and digital development in the Central and Northern Greece region.
