The Plenary Meeting of the #DigiAgriFood partners was successfully completed on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. #DigiAgriFood represents the first European Digital Innovation Hub in the agrifood sector in Greece.
The hub aims to empower the digital and green transformation of the entire agrifood value chain spectrum, with direct benefits for citizens, SMEs, and the public sector.
The Plenary Meeting was attended in person and online by representatives of all the hub’s partners, led by the Democritus University of Thrace. The partnership includes the University of Thessaly, the Bio-Economy and Agro-Technology Institute (iBO) of the National Centre for Research and Technological Development (EKETA), Perrotis College of the American Farm School, ena Development Consultants, and the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. They discussed all agenda items in a positive cooperation atmosphere.
During the Plenary Meeting, the project’s progress was analyzed, issues and concerns were addressed, and the Action Plan for 2023 was outlined.
Specifically, the project management team, coordinated by the Democritus University of Thrace, discussed management issues and the 2023 Action Plan.
The Digital Maturity Assessment process for the project’s potential end-users was presented by iBO of EKETA, along with the methodology for creating the hub’s ecosystem by the University of Thessaly.
ena Development Consultants, partner, Innovation & Communication Mediator of #DigiAgriFood, presented the main directions of the communication strategy to promote the hub’s goals.
Finally, all partners had the opportunity to present their portfolio of immediately available digital services and key points, benefiting citizens, SMEs, and the public sector. The meeting concluded with a round table discussion and mapping out immediate actions for the coming period.
The European Digital Innovation Hub #DigiAgriFood aims to empower the digital and green transformation of the entire agrifood value chain spectrum, specializing in Artificial Intelligence Technologies, Advanced Digital Skills, High-Performance Computing, Digital Transformation, and Interoperability.
#DigiAgriFood has been approved by the European Commission along with 135 other hubs, participates in the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) innovation network, and is funded by the “Digital Europe 2021-2027” program.
