#DigiAgriFood, the first European Digital Innovation Hub in the agri-food sector in Greece, led by the Democritus University of Thrace, participated in the regional conference ESYF-AgriBusiness Forum 2023 with the theme “Phytoprotection, a catalyst for transforming agri-food systems in the digital & green era,” on November 3-5 at the Poseidon Palace (Leptokarya, Pieria).
The conference focused on addressing the challenges faced by agricultural operations and their economic returns, within the context of agricultural inputs, new technologies, and climate. These themes were approached through 11 sessions, featuring 45 speakers from Greece and abroad, and were aimed at producers, agronomists, agricultural consultants, businesses, and academics.
The Democritus University of Thrace, the lead partner of #DigiAgriFood, participated in the conference, informing entities and businesses about digital and green transformation solutions for the agri-food sector.
The first day of the conference focused on the following sections:
- The path of Greek and European agriculture towards 2030
- Phytoprotection challenges in strategic crops
- Innovation, new technologies, sustainable solutions, Soil, water resources, biodiversity, environment
- Ecosystems & synergies
The second day of the conference focused on the following sections:
- Sustainable entrepreneurship, financial tools, risk management
- Education – Training
- Summary & conclusions
The third and final day of the conference was themed: Thessaly Dossier, Present & Future.
