With international participation and great success, the 2nd Scientific IEEE Conference on Agrifood Electronics (CAFE2024) was completed on September 26-28, 2024, in Xanthi, Greece.
The conference was organized by Democritus University of Thrace, under the auspices of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and also hosted the 2nd IEEE CAS Industry Forum IAFE (Industry for AgriFood Electronics).
#DigiAgriFood, the first European Digital Innovation Hub in the Hellenic Agri-Food Sector, proudly supported the CAFE 2024 Conference and was represented by the Technical Project Manager, Dr. Dionysis Voglitsis, who presented the actions and services offered by the Hub.
The conference was opened with greetings from the Vice-Rector of Research and Innovation at Democritus University of Thrace, Mr. Georgios Broufas, while Dr. Georgios Syrakoulis, professor at DUTH, served as the General Chair of the event, coordinating the successful execution of the conference.
Notable scientific studies were presented by researchers Athanasios Passias and Karolos-Alexandros Tsakalos, with the latter also serving as a member of the organizing committee.
Finally, representatives of the Hub’s partners presented their activities, including Mr. Dionysis Bochtis, director of iBO, and Mr. Dimitris Bardakidis, Co-Founder & AgriFood Expert of ena Development Consultants.
