#DigiAgriFood, the first European Digital Innovation Hub in the agri-food sector in Greece, with the Democritus University of Thrace as the lead partner, participated in the informative event titled “Carbon Farming. Opportunities and Prospects in the Region of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace.”
The event was organized with the initiative of the Balkan Environmental Center (i-Bec) and the company ena Development Consultants, within the framework of the European “Carbonica” program, on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the multifunctional space #enahub, in Xanthi.
Moreover, Ioannis Amrantidis, Senior Project Manager of #DigiAgriFood, represented the hub, informing farmers and stakeholders about the free services offered by the hub to individuals and businesses active in the agri-food sector, as well as use cases demonstrating the hub’s contribution to agri-food.
Additionally, Dimitris Bardakidis, Quality & Risk Manager of #DigiAgriFood, discussed the new challenges for the competitiveness of the Agri-Food Sector under the prism of the new CAP 2023-2027.
After the completion of the presentations, participants had the opportunity to resolve any questions and concerns that arose. The targeted questions posed to the speakers demonstrate the great interest and positive response of the audience to the information shared during the event.
Even more positively, there was significant interest from potential end-users, who sought further information with the aim of modernizing their agricultural operations.
#DigiAgriFood warmly thanks the Balkan Environmental Center (i-Bec) and ena Development Consultants for the excellent co-organization, as well as the attendees who honored the event with their presence.
