DigiAgriFood will participate in the 2nd Online Seminar for Young Farmers’ Networking and Collaboration, which will take place online on 24 June 2026, from 16:00 to 17:00 Greek time.
The seminar is organised in the framework of RECAP / RE-imagine CAP, an initiative co-funded by the European Union and coordinated by Re-Imagine Europa. The project aims to raise awareness and improve citizens’ understanding of the Common Agricultural Policy in Greece, with a special focus on youth participation.
The event is addressed to young farmers, students of agronomy and related scientific fields, young agri-food professionals, as well as young people interested in becoming professionally active in agriculture.
Networking, collaboration and knowledge exchange
The agricultural sector in Greece and across Europe is facing important challenges, including the ageing of the farming population, difficulties in accessing land, rising production costs and the need for stronger collaboration and networking among young farmers.
The seminar aims to give young people interested in agriculture the opportunity to meet, exchange experiences and views, discuss common challenges and create meaningful professional connections.
Through short presentations, questions to the speakers and speed networking activities, participants will have the opportunity to connect with networks, initiatives and professionals active in the agricultural and agri-food sectors.
DigiAgriFood’s participation
Ioannis Amarantidis, Senior Project Manager of DigiAgriFood – European Digital Innovation Hub at Democritus University of Thrace, will participate as a speaker.
In his intervention, Mr Amarantidis will present the work and role of DigiAgriFood, highlighting how the Hub supports the digital transformation of the agri-food sector through services, expertise and practical tools for farmers, producers, cooperatives and businesses.
