Democritus University of Thrace, the lead partner of Greece’s first European Digital Innovation Hub in the agri-food sector, DigiAgriFood, is co-organising a parallel event titled “Funding Opportunities in Agri-Food: Digital Innovation in Action” as part of its participation in Agrotica 2026.
The event will take place on Saturday, 14 March, from 15:20 to 17:00, at the Emilios Riadis Hall of Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF‑HELEXPO).
The event is co-organised by the European projects Digi-Rangeland, OFELIA, and FARM360TECH.
The goal is to inform farmers, agri-food businesses, researchers, and institutional stakeholders about new tools, services, and initiatives that support digital transformation, sustainability, and business development in the primary sector.
During the event, participants will also have the opportunity for networking and exchanging experiences, aiming to foster collaborations and create new opportunities for the agricultural sector.
Participating Projects
• DigiAgriFood, the first European Digital Innovation Hub in the agri-food sector in Greece, aims to strengthen the digital and green transformation across the entire agri-food value chain, delivering direct benefits to farmers, SMEs, and the public sector.
• Digi-Rangeland creates an innovative network focused on digital technologies and data-driven solutions for livestock farmers and land users in rangeland areas.
• OFELIA enhances innovation and competitiveness in the value chains of functional foods and medicinal & aromatic plants, with a particular focus on less developed regions.
• FARM360TECH is transforming agriculture in Europe by integrating Agriculture 5.0 technologies to increase productivity, reduce environmental impact, and develop sustainable interregional value chains.
