Plants and microorganisms produce various secondary metabolites, including (for instance terpenes and alkaloids) that exhibit several biological activities such as antiproliferative, cytotoxic, antioxidant, or neuroprotective properties and therefore can be used as food additives, natural pesticides, in medicine, etc. However, prior to testing in animal models it is necessary to test these properties in cell culture in vitro. This service provides an evaluation of antiproliferative and/or antioxidant and/or neuroprotective properties of natural products in in vitro cultures of cell lines.
