At the modern multipurpose space Joist Innovation Park in Larissa, the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH), #DigiAgriFood, had the pleasure of being hosted on Friday, February 10, and Saturday, February 11, 2023.
The Innovent Forum, the first hybrid Science and Technology Exhibition, took place at Joist Innovation Park, featuring a multitude of exhibitors and visitors from Greece and abroad.
Exhibitors at the Innovent Forum showcased their technological and scientific achievements in the fields of Health Technology, Agrifood Technology, Biotechnology, Educational Technology, Energy, Construction, Governance Technology, Smart Cities, and Gaming.
#DigiAgriFood, the first European Digital Innovation Hub in the agrifood sector in Greece, was there to inform organizations, businesses, and general visitors about the digital and green transformation solutions offered by the hub.
The #DigiAgriFood partnership, led by the Democritus University of Thrace, includes the University of Thessaly, the Bio-Economy and Agro-Technology Institute (iBO) of the National Centre for Research and Technological Development (EKETA), Perrotis College of the American Farm School, the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, and ena Development Consultants.
#DigiAgriFood aims to facilitate the digital and green transformation of the entire agrifood value chain, with immediate benefits for citizens, SMEs, and the public sector.
In the session titled “How do Digital Innovation Hubs and Public Authorities contribute to the development of Startup Entrepreneurship and Technology?”, Dimitris Bardakidis, co-founder, General Director, and Head of Primary Sector Development Strategy at ena Development Consultants, participated.
In the presence of the Mayor of Larissa, Apostolos Kalogiannis, the General Secretary for Research and Innovation, Athanasios Kyriazis, the Managing Director of Elevate Greece, and representatives from four of the seven European Digital Innovation Hubs in Greece, Mr. Bardakidis presented the objectives and services of #DigiAgriFood.
Dimitris Bardakidis, Quality & Risk Manager of #DigiAgriFood, showcased services that are expected to benefit thousands of end-users and businesses in the agrifood sector across the regions of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Central Macedonia, Western Macedonia, Epirus, and Thessaly, for their digital transformation over the 3+4 years of the project’s implementation.
At the Innovent Forum organized by Joist, #DigiAgriFood had the opportunity to converse and network with businesses and organizations from Greece and abroad, informing them about the digital and green transformation solutions offered by the hub.
