#DigiAgriFood at the 1st Panhellenic Agricultural Advisors Conference, Larisa

#DigiAgriFood, the first European Digital Innovation Hub in the Hellenic Agri-food sector, participated in the 1st Panhellenic Conference of Agricultural Advisors, held on March 8, 2025, at the Joist Innovation Park in Larissa.

The conference was a significant initiative aimed at highlighting the role of agricultural advisors in the new digital and green era, as well as promoting innovative solutions in the agrifood sector. #DigiAgriFood was represented by Ioannis Amaraditis, Senior Project Manager of the hub. Also attending the conference was Ilias Kalfas, Head of the Innovation & Impact HUB at the American Farm School, a partner of #DigiAgriFood.

The hub participated in the discussion panel “Innovation and Safety in the Agrifood Chain,” where critical topics were discussed, including:

  • Certified agrifood products and quality standards
  • Digital and green transition in agriculture
  • Market and consumer demands
  • Challenges and opportunities for innovation in the agrifood sector

#DigiAgriFood’s Contributions to the Conference

Ioannis Amaraditis presented the activities and mission of #DigiAgriFood, emphasizing that the hub supports farmers and businesses through specialized digital innovation services. He also highlighted opportunities for collaboration with agricultural advisors, stressing the importance of training and the dissemination of digital tools to enhance sustainability in the sector.

Ilias Kalfas presented the Innovation & Impact HUB of the American Farm School and its role in promoting innovation in the agrifood sector. He discussed initiatives aimed at connecting agricultural advisors with new technologies and smart farming, emphasizing the importance of educational programs and testing before investment.

#DigiAgriFood continues to strengthen collaboration with agricultural advisors and support the transition of Greek agriculture toward a digitally upgraded and sustainable production model.
