Conclusion of the Event “Digital Transformation in Agriculture and Sustainability” in Vonitsa

iBO / CERTH and FarmB Digital Agriculture, with the support of the Municipality of Aktio – Vonitsa, the Region of Western Greece, and the Sarakatsani Association of Valtos/Xiromero & Evrytania, successfully organized the event “Digital Transformation in Agriculture and Sustainability” in Vonitsa as part of the #DigiAgriFood project,the first European Digital Innovation Hub in the Hellenic Agri-food sector. The event took place on Friday, February 7, at 18:15 at the Cultural Center “LAIS” in Vonitsa.

During the conference, the latest technological advancements in the agri-food sector and their role in strengthening agricultural production and market dynamics were presented. Additionally, valuable insights and tools were provided to help understand the benefits of the digital transformation of agricultural supply chains in terms of competitiveness, efficiency, quality, transparency, traceability, and sustainability.

The European Digital Innovation Hub #DigiAgriFood showcased its initiatives and services, focusing on the digital and green transformation of the agri-food value chain, bringing direct benefits to citizens, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and the public sector. Furthermore, the technologies leveraged by the hub were highlighted, including Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Digital Skills, High-Performance Computing, Digital Transformation, and Interoperability.
