#DigiAgriFood continues to actively support every effort that leads to smarter, more sustainable, and more competitive agricultural production.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Agro Team Greece Cooperative, a beneficiary of #DigiAgriFood, collaborated with the University of Thessaly<\/strong>, a Hub partner, through the UAV Field Monitoring (TRL 9) service. This collaboration applied innovative crop monitoring technologies to optimize irrigation management.<\/p>\n

The challenges<\/h3>\n

The cooperative\u2019s producers faced a significant issue of unnecessarily excessive water usage for irrigation, which increased production costs and reduced the sustainability of their crops.<\/p>\n

With the support of the University of Thessaly and by utilizing AgroNode technology equipped with a variety of sensors, the fields were monitored in real time, while targeted consultation was provided for optimal irrigation scheduling.<\/p>\n
