{"id":8328,"date":"2025-05-02T11:21:52","date_gmt":"2025-05-02T08:21:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/digiagrifood.gr\/?p=8328"},"modified":"2025-05-07T12:05:58","modified_gmt":"2025-05-07T09:05:58","slug":"conclusion-of-the-workshop-under-the-subject-of-food-hygiene-and-safety-training-on-the-application-of-haccp-in-food-and-beverage-industries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/digiagrifood.gr\/en\/conclusion-of-the-workshop-under-the-subject-of-food-hygiene-and-safety-training-on-the-application-of-haccp-in-food-and-beverage-industries\/","title":{"rendered":"Conclusion of the Workshop under the subject of  &#8220;Food Hygiene and Safety &#8211; Training on the Application of Haccp in Food and Beverage Industries&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace<\/strong>, as partner of the first European Digital Innovation Hub in the Hellenic Agri-food sector, <strong>#DigiAgriFood<\/strong>, in an attempt to reinforce the Hub\u2019s Services of Access to Funding, held on the<strong> 29<\/strong><\/span><strong>th<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong> of April 2025<\/strong> a workshop under the subject of\u00a0 <strong>&#8220;Food Hygiene and Safety &#8211; Training on the Application of Haccp in Food and Beverage Industries&#8221;<\/strong> .The workshop took place in the in Th\u03bfurio \u2013 <strong>Orestiada<\/strong>, Evros, in the hall of the Refugee Folklore Association of Women of Thourio at 17:00 in the afternoon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During this workshop we had the pleasure of hosting specialized executive members who presented the concept of food hygiene and safety, food safety management systems, and training on the application of <strong>HACCP<\/strong> in food and beverage industries was also held. More specifically the beginning of the workshop was made by Mr. <strong>Bontsidis Christos<\/strong>, Special Consultant for Food Safety and Quality, Water and Public Health and Scientific Associate of <strong>#DigiAgrifood<\/strong>, who gave an overview of the Hub<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, while Mr. <strong>Papadopoulos Sotirios<\/strong>, General Manager of Agricultural Economics &amp; Veterinary Medicine of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and Project Manager of this project, presented \u201cManagement Systems for Food Safety from Field to Shelf\u201d. Then, Dr.<strong> Plessas Stavros<\/strong>, Professor of Food Quality Control at the Department of Agricultural Development at the University of Thrace presented \u201cFood Quality and Safety\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The presentations\u2019 conclusion was made with the \u201cTraining on the Application of HACCP in Food and Beverage Businesses with Mr. <strong>Bontsidis Christos<\/strong>, who presented in detail how a HACCP study is applied in food and beverage industries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After completing the presentations questions were asked by the attendees and thus a fruitful and constructive discussion took place, with the aim at understanding food and beverage safety management systems and how to implement the HACCP system in their business or industry.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>#DigiAgriFood has been approved by the European Commission as part of the European Digital Innovation Hubs Network and is co-funded by the European Union, under the Digital Europe Programme and the &#8220;Competitiveness Programme&#8221;
