iBO \/ CERTH<\/b> and <\/span>FarmB Digital Agriculture<\/b>, under the auspices of the <\/span>Region of Eastern Macedonia – Thrace<\/b>, successfully organized the event <\/span>“Digital Transformation in Agriculture and Sustainability”<\/b> in Alexandroupoli as part of the <\/span>#DigiAgriFood<\/b> project, the first European Digital Innovation Hub<\/strong> in the Hellenic Agri-food sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event took place on <\/span>Thursday, January 16, at 18:00<\/b> in Alexandroupoli, at the <\/span>“ALEXANDROS KRITIS” Lecture Hall<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

This workshop showcased the latest advancements in <\/span>new technologies<\/b> and their contribution to strengthening <\/span>agri-food production and market development<\/b>. At the same time, it provided <\/span>valuable insights and tools<\/b> to help participants understand how the <\/span>digital transformation of agricultural supply chains<\/b> benefits the agri-food sector in terms of <\/span>competitiveness, efficiency, quality, transparency, traceability, and sustainability<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>DigiAgriFood European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH)<\/b> aims to <\/span>empower the digital and green transformation<\/b> across the <\/span>entire agri-food value chain<\/b>, delivering <\/span>direct benefits to citizens, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and the broader public sector<\/b>. It specializes in <\/span>Artificial Intelligence (AI), Advanced Digital Skills, High-Performance Computing, Digital Transformation, and Interoperability<\/b>, directly contributing to the <\/span>missions and goals of the “Digital Europe 2021-2027” program<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event\u2019s interdisciplinary and holistic approach deepened knowledge in the following areas:<\/b><\/h3>\n

  • Business models<\/b> based on <\/span>digital technologies<\/b> that add value to agricultural products.<\/span><\/li>\n
